No. This is because they do not have a full octet unlike the noble gases. These metals will react violently and will then get their full octet. This is the reason why group 18 or group 0 or group 8 do not react as they have a full octet making them inert.

Alkali metals are elements located in the group 1 of the Periodic Table. Transitional elements are located in the d and f groups of the periodic table. Hence, they are completely different.
