Rubbing alcohol is a molecular agent use to prevent and stop the growth of bacteria and create condition that prevent bacteria to either populate or repopulate but does not kill it.
The basic function of 71-91% Rubbing alcohol is to create a toxic environment for re-population and to be a air drying lubricant to the skin that simply allow the bacteria to be moved from one place to another.
rubbing alochal alone can damage your oral thoracic cavity (mouth and below) considering the cells do not function the same as skin so id suggest use lots of water and very little rubbing alcohol to rinse with.
This is the concerning part. For some reason you decided to use alcohol alone or put to much in with the water
you would suffer some bad side affects like:
the list goes one considering your body is a domino affect.
The only thing that alcohol can help with is to keep yeast that naturally live on your tong to a minimal level.
It will not bleach your teeth like a peroxide agent nor will it prevent cavities.
Yes you can use it as a mouth wash but the side affects outweighs its benefits.
Hope this helps
No! Alcohol that is 'safe' for humans is ethanol. Rubbing alcohol and denatured alcohol are combined with other alcohols such as methanol that are poisonous. No way, not ever. The most common affect is blindness so don't even think about it!
Ech! I don't think I would risk it and why would you want to? Read the label to see if it says 'for external use only'. We don't have it in this country or I would check for you. Probably not, but I would ask the question on Answers.com, then read what it lists. Hydrogen Peroxide is probably what you are thinking of rather than rubbing alcohol. Hydrogen Peroxide can be used to rinse your mouth and rid canker sores, germs, etc.
No, the rubbing alc basically destroys your tastebuds and skin on inside of cheeks and lips.

I agree completely, I tried rubbing alcohol when I had a bad case of thrush after an illness and wow.. BIG mistake. It burned more than anticipated and did eat away the skin inside, quickly. Mouth was VERY dry but was immediately washed w/water. Stick to peroxide solution or if you need alcohol, go with off brand listerine. - Chris
Usually rubbing alcohol contains methyl alcohol. It will kill you or at-least make you blind. Never use rubbing alcohol for drinking purpose. Specially when you have so many good alcohol beverages to drink.
No! Rubbing alcohol is toxic and can be easily absorbed through the lining of the mouth and can cause serious problems. You could use vodka this way, since that contains a less toxic alcohol called ethanol, but then there is the risk of intoxication.
If you must make your own mouth rinse, it is best to stick with a water solution of salt and/or baking soda.
You can use 3% hydrogen peroxide or weaker in emergencies, like a toothache, but you must not swallow any of it, and you should not use it all the time since it is mildly acidic and may attack enamel. Or you can apply castor oil to the affected area.

If you're fine with going blind. No, it is NOT ok, even if using a tiny amount.
No. Just use an alcohol-free mouthwash.
is it safe to take a bath in rubbing alcohol.
Nope, it heals it from the pain, it's actually the best to use for a sunburn. But mix it with water on a wash cloth don't soak it just in rubbing alcohol or it may sting at first, with water it don't sting.
I have removed it before with gasoline, you could also try rubbing alcohol, and after use, wash and wax the area.
