How do you set Thermal safety valve?

*A valve thatrelieves pressure due to thermal expansion of liquid* You will see PSV's pressure safety valves on vessels with gas in them. You will see TSV's (Thermal Safety Valves) on pipelines/vessels full of fluid. The fluid in a blocked in pipeline in the sun will expand and quickly increase the pressure in the pipeline. The Thermal safety valve relieves this pressure due to thermal expansion. Essentially TSV's and PSV's Are the same physical device just used for different reasons, and so named differently. To complicate the issue you can also get combined temperature and pressure relief valves. These have two mechanisms 1. Normal spring to hold valve closed until set pressure is reached and valve opens. 2. Wax/oil filled probe, that as it gets to set temperature expands and opens valve. I have not yet seen these valves in the process industry, but there is one on my water heater at home. http://www.rmc.com.au/files/spec_sheets/HT501_1.pdf

Does it put pressure on the pipe to turn off toilet valve and not the main water for 2 days?

It does not increase the pressure it remains the same as if the valve was open.

What is a logic valve?

Logic valves serve as a multifunctional valve for controlling the direction, flow and pressure by controlling the pressure signals in a hydraulic system, at the same time providing protection to the hydraulic pump.

Which is the difference between a level valve and level control valve?

The purpose of both the valves is same - that to maintain a certain level(in a vessel or tank...) Simple Level valve could be referred to an ON - OFF valve where as control valve could be referred to an analog type of valve. On - OFF valve is for a crude control of level, while control valve is used where a fine level control is needed.

What is the difference between a sillcock valve a boiler valve and a hose bibb valve?

They are just about the same

Why hot air bursts the safety valve whereas hot moisture comes out through whistle?

upon heating a pressure cooker filled with water, the steam formed inside lifts the whistle and comes out till the pressure inside falls to limit. the same if heated without filled with water the hot air should come out through whistle as the volume increases upon heating. instead the hot air bursts the safety valve. why?

What is mean by cold chamber die casting machine?

cold chamber die casting machine can be divided into the direction of the direction of the flow of fluid in the hydraulic system used to control or regulate the pressure and flow valves, pressure valves and flow control valve three categories. A same shape as the valve, because of the different mechanisms of action have different functions. Pressure valve and flow valve with a throttle effect of the flow passage cross section to control the system pressure and flow direction valve replacement of the flow passage control the oil flow direction.

How much vacuum pressure is at the modulator valve on a th400 at idle?

same as engine vacuum.

What is a Pressure regulator valve?

A regulator is simply a valve with a preset pressure point that causes the valve to open and close. A pressure sensor (a diaphragm with an adjustable spring) is on the side of the valve that the pressure you want is on. When the desired pressure (we will use 50psi) is reached, it causes the diaphragm to expand against the spring. The diaphran is connected to the valve and when it expands, it closes the valve, letting no more pressure to build. when you flush a toilet or turn on the sink, the diaphragm contracts opening the valve wider and wider until enough water is flowing in to raise the pressure expanding the diaphragm to close the valve. the diaphragm is just like a ballon, the more pressure, the more it expands. the set screw on most regulators puts more or less pressure on the diaprham raising or lowering the amount of pressure needed to move the diaphragm enough to close the valve. do not confuse the regulator with the pressure switch on a pump system. they are not the same. the job of the regulator is to keep constant pressure in your system. the pressure switch on pumps works about the same but has two preset pressures. the first to turn a pump off when the desired pressure is reached and the second to turn it back on. the off pressure is always higher then the on pressure by about 10psi or your pump would be constantly turning on and off.

Is erg valve and blow off valve the same?

If you mean the EGR (exhaust Gas Reclaimer), no.

How does pressure gauge work?

Reverse airflow feels a chamber inside the gauge and reads the pressure equal to the inside of the tyre its that simple. Same for air compressure, when the pressure is applied it seals the valve on the gauge end then back pressure fills the chamber inside the gauge when you release the gauge from the tyre valve the pressure has gone!!

How do you relieve the pressure on a fuel line?

Under the cover of the engine it looks like valve-stem it has and it's about the same size

Is a proportioning valve and a brake force regulator the same thing?

The proportioning valve adjusts the amount of fluid pressure between the front brakes and rear brakes, I would say the answer is yes.
