I would let your midwife know, but it doesnt mean theres something wrong, whilst spotting or bleeding isn't normal in pregnanacy, its atually surprisingly more common than people think, at 5 weeks it could be implantation bleeding, or if you've had an internal or sex recently that can also cause spotting.
Goodluck
If you know for sure that you are pregnant, it is probably not going to be your period, although some women have experienced a "first" period then learns a couple of weeks later that they really are pregnant. It is possible that it could be implantation bleeding caused by the fertilized egg to attach itself to the uterine wall. Or it could be a cervical change that can cause vaginal bleeding. Vaginal bleeding can also be a symptom of ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Another cause for bleeding during pregnancy is a miscarriage although the first two reasons for bleeding are more common, it is still a good idea to contact your doctor. --I am having the same issue and I too am very early into pregnancy. I called my doctor and spoke to a nurse, she said to keep an eye on it and if i had pain/cramping, nausea, dizziness, bright red blood, or half of a pad full (of blood) then to contact them ASAP. She said that since it is too early a scan couldn't really see anything just yet. So definitely keep an eye on it.
Spotting is absolutely normal. But if it is associated with pain, raise an alarm and meet your doctor immediately!
Spotting is more common within the first few weeks of pregnancy.... Although is it not as common it is still possible to experience spotting later in Pregnancy
32 weeks thanks

If you want to keep it get to the hospital
Spotting five days after a pap smear is not related to the pap smear. If the spotting continues, if you're pregnant, or if you have other symptoms, contact your health care provider.
First thing to do is not to stress because stress can make u miss ur period. At five weeks u can detect hcg, u can detect it on a home pregnancy test at 2 weeks. you can be pregnant and not test positive on urine tests because the hcg is not spilling in your urine the only way to find out for sure is a blood test!!! good luck!!
A person may be advised to take Gestofit 200 SR when their pregnancy is at five weeks if they need additional progesterone in their system. This medication is prescribed by the doctor.
The most common pregnancy symptoms at five weeks are missed period, nausea, breast tenderness, and fatigue.
five to seven days is normal, but take a pregnancy test to be sure :)
It depends what you were like before you became pregnant, if it was soft then it will stay soft, if you were hard it will stay hard. Some women get bad gas at the begiinning of pregnancy and that may make a soft stomach firmer.
Between five and seven weeks, a pregnancy can be ended by a procedure called menstrual extraction
it's perfectly normal to be spotting at 5 weeks. it's just because you will not be menstrating through out the pregnancy (or as many periods). if the spotting occurs longer than 2 weeks, consult a doctor. im five weeks preg and went to the doctors a couple days ago.... i had an inside sonogram done... well i woke up the mext day to fine alittle of reddish blood on the paper.. which i freaked out.. ever since its just been the brownish blood.. but ots not so much that it discharges it stays in side if me.... im so scared.... any advise?
I would take a pregnancy test, as spotting is very common in early pregnancy- especially at the time when you would have gotten your period. I've been spotting for five days since I should have gotten my period and I tested positive three days ago.
