An Austrailian multi-billionaire is going to build the Titanic again. This time the electronic devices used on the Titanic will be much better and it will not sink. The Titanic is going to be ready for 2016 and it will sail from Southampton to New York again.

No. The Titanic as it currently exists is an unstable wreck two miles below the ocean surface. Even assuming you could raise it - intact! - it would be so damaged and structurally unsound that it would have to be scrapped. Another Titanic could be built, but it would have to include a huge number of design changes to reflect what has changed since its construction, particularly to comply with safety and emissions regulations.

Clive Palmer, an Australian billionaire had proposed building a floating replica of the Titanic, dubbed Titanic II. It would've aesthetically appear like the original ship, but with modern features. However, it does not appear that the project will move forward. The other most notable proposal was from Sarel Gous, a South African businessman. But, like Palmer's project, it was eventually abandoned.
