The US is pretty great. The US has every good thing and every bad thing that it's known for. So, depending on whether you are an optimistic person or a pessimistic person you will see what you are open to. The one thing that the US does not have is streets paved in gold; most Americans work very hard to earn a living. The US Constitution does not promise success or wealth, it promises opportunity.

Franklin D. Roosevelt had created the New Deal programs to help the United States come out of there Great Depression, they helped somewhat, but it was really World War Two that brought us out of the Great Depression.

life really is great... its not about being happy at every moment... because we cant, its about joy... the feeling where no matter how stressful situations get you can always see the bigger picture... and thank God for what you do have... that comes from the comfort of knowing that God really is in control of our lives. thank God its not us running this ship and that there is someone bigger than us in control so yup life is great
