A Venus Flytrap is a tertiary consumer because it traps insects that eat other insects or any kind of meat or blood.

It is a secondary consumer because it catches insects that eat plants.

It is also a producer because it makes its own food. The only reason it catches insects is to provide the nutrients for photosynthesis that are lacking in the soil.
