The medical field is growing because their are new types of diseases made every day and doctors are being hired and payed alot to get rid of diseases. Also kids/teenagers are still getting hurt on skateboards, bikes, climbing trees. Just dum stuff kids like to do and they always get hurt. So their are nurses and doctors to take care of them. But almost every field is growing just as the population grows.
Significant advancements have included proper hygiene, especially aseptic technique during surgical procedures; vaccinations; coronary artery bypass graft surgery; effective medications for multiple conditions and diseases; and many, many more.
The medical field is greatly expanding. This is mostly because the baby boomers are growing older and will soon need more health care.
