Why is Watchmen the movie different from the comic book?
First off, anything can be drawn on paper and technically has unlimited resources in terms of characters and setting. A movie, well, not so much and just happened to assemble the perfect cast in my opinion. The movie did some things differently, such as the graphic chainsaw scene. that was made to make people think more logically as in the comic book, all they did was stab him and didn't really affect Big Figure's entrance to Rorschach's cell. Didn't really make much sense. Another was the element of the movie was itself. The main point was to capture the main scenes and the book itself is one of the longest compilations that I'm sure have been made (I'm not really a comic book geek so I don't really know!). Even the movie i believe was 3 and a half hours!
