The Sword of Aeons is a bloodforged legendary weapon in Fable, in which securing the sword against Jack of Blades becomes a major plot line. The sword is revealed to have an ancient connection to the bloodline of the protagonist.
To be activated, it requires the blood of Archon's bloodline. Once that happens, the key appears, the key is used to activate the focus sites, which reveals the sword. To achieve full power the sword requires the death of at least two people from Archon's bloodline.
The sword itself is acquired in the Chamber of Fate, after Jack of Blades is defeated; in order to wield it, however, you must sacrifice your sister. Or the Hero can cast it into the vortex opened by Jack's death and destroy the sword, giving the Hero the option of receiving Avo's Tear, an equally powered sword (TLC Only). The sword has an attack strength of 550 points in the original Fable, reduced to 230 points in The Lost Chapters.
The Tales of Albion reveal that the Sword of Aeons originally belonged to Jack of Blades, but was stolen from him by William Black, when the latter was sucked into the Void. The sword spoke to Black, promising to help him slay the Court if he surrendered his soul. This was agreed, and Black used the sword to defeat the three members of the Court, and ultimately free Albion. Trivia
- The opposite rival sword to the Sword of Aeons is "Avo's Tear" obtainable only if the Hero is good and chose to destroy The Sword of Aeons.
- The Sword of Aeons appears in Fable 2, vaguely in one of the painting in the destroyed Chamber of Fate in the Hero's Guild. There was a bit of a goof though, in the pictures the Hero of Oakvale appears wielding the blade against Jack of Blades, though according to the original storyline the only way to get the sword was to kill Theresa. Seeing as she appears in Fable II that makes this outcome impossible. It is possible this could be Avo's Tear as both swords look almost the same.

∙ 13y agoNot that I know of. The most powerful sword in Fable II is the Daichi, and it's a legendary weapon. Built like a katana. I could be wrong, though. It wouldn't be a first. Lol. If you want better answers, http://fable.wiki.com/wiki is the better place. I know wiki can be altered, but anyone who alters it probably knows what they are talking about. Try there. :)

yes you can you have to pick up sword of aeons when your sister tells you to strike her down or not. dont strike her. just hero save then reload game. you will appear in front of jack of blades with the sword of aeons. when you defeat him gain geuss what. another sword of aeons. cast that one in the vortex. you will have another one. then later in the game you will have to take the steps to get avos tear since you technically didnt get the sword of aeons
What heppens on fable if you dont take the sword of aeons?
You have to do something with it. If you do nothing, you stand in the Chamber of Fate forever.If you kill your sister with it, you get the evil ending and you get to continue to live in the world that you helped shape (and you get to keep the sword, too).If you destroy the sword, you get the good ending and the game is over.
In the very first fable not TLC the one before you beat the game and waited till the end and got the Sword of Aeons now can you play the Arena again?

In fable the lost chapters you tried the jack of blades sword glitch where you world save before you start the quest and hero save after you kill Jack but you still can't get the sword. why?
When given the choice to keep the Sword of Aeons you have the choice of throwing it away (this first choice denies you the weapon permanently) and remaining good or stabbing your only sister to death (this second choice is considered evil in most cultures) and keep the sword as a memento of your adventuring career. Instead, you can duplicate the Sword of Aeons (a third choice perferred by game rapists) by doing the following: Save your game at the Heroes' Guild before fighting Jack of Blades. Go ahead and defeat Jack of Blades afterwards and when you win, don't make a choice about the Sword of Aeons. Instead, do a "hero save" then opt to reload your "world save". You will discover to your sick delight that the Sword of Aeons is in your inventory but you'll be right in front of Jack of Blades. Go and whack him again and you'll gain another Sword of Aeons. If you're greedy and want some money, do the "hero save" again and reload the "world save" as many times as you desire. When you finally tire of this exploitation, you can make a choice about the Sword of Aeons. Should you decide to remain good, sacrifice one of the Swords of Aeons and keep the rest.
What do you do when you defeat jack of blades?
In fable I you can sacrifice your sister and keep the sword of Aeons. Or.... you can destroy it with the vortex and not have it for the rest of the game. When u defeat jack if you choose either way you still get to play the game but without quests.
What happens if you choose Sacrifice on Fable 2?

the best range weapon would be skorms bow, the sword with the highest damage would be the solus greatsword, but the best sword would be either avo's tear if your good, or sword of Aeons if your evil (they both have equal stats), due to them high damage and being lighter fast weapons as oppose to the slow heavy solus greatsword.
