The visible spectrum is a tiny, almost negligible slice of the electromagnetic spectrum.
'Sonar' has no place in this discussion. It's not even electromagnetic.
The same ones used in the camera for taking the pictures, usually the visible light spectrum waves. Some older autofocusing systems (e.g. one used on some Polaroid instant cameras) used a SONAR ranging system, which used sound waves not electromagnetic waves.
Sonar navigation uses sound waves; radar navigation uses electromagnetic waves (usually radio eaves).
EM waves cannot be used in SONAR because water is a conducting medium and thus EM waves would get shorted
