I'm not a mechanic / technician but I checked www.motorcraft.com ( all 3 engines ) and it does not list a MAP sensor
The MAP sensor on a 1996 Ford Explorer 5.0 is located on top of the engine near the throttle body. It is bolted to the engine and also has a wiring harness attached to it.
I have a 1995 Ford Explorer XLT - 4.0 L - OHV engine and I don't believe it has a MAP sensor , it has a mass airflow sensor inside the plastic housing between the air filter and the rubber air intake tube
www. motorcraft. com ( no spaces ) does not list a MAP sensor for the 5.0 L (302 )
www. motorcraft. com ( no spaces ) does not list a MAP sensor for the 3.0 L in a 1998 Ford Ranger , there is an AIR MASS SENSOR listed which I assume is the same as a mass air flow sensor which would be located near your air filter housing
To the best of my knowledge, the 97 does not have a MAP sensor. It uses a Mass Airflow sensor instead, and that is located in the intake boot either next to the air filter housing, or in the housing itself.
where is the map sensor located on a ford freestar
There is no MAP sensor on a 1999 Windstar.
The fuse for your 2002 Ford Explorer Sport is similar to that of the 2001 Ford Explorer Sport.
Yes there is a Map sensor.
where is the map sensor on 1995 ford van 150 series, 5.0 engine where is the map sensor on 1995 ford van 150 series, 5.0 engine

I don't think a Mustang has a MAP sensor. They are MAF system.
