On sims 1 how can you propose?

Assuming you are using the Sims 2, your sims have to be in love. For them to fall in love have them talk, go on dates, kiss, hug, flirt, so on and so forth. After awhile you will see the button for propose. Click on it and then you will have the option to 'propose engagement'. Then the sim will get down on one knee and give the other sim a ring. Sometimes the game will go into movie mode.

Another way to propose is if they are sitting at a table. You can click on propose and click on Surprise Engagement.

Sims2: For a Moving In proposal, try having the Sims' relationship scores to be above 50 for the lifetime score and for about 60 for the daily score For a Marriage/Joining, try ensuring that your Sims' lifetime score is above 70. For an Engagement: Try above 70 also. If, however, you have Nightlife or higher, and depending on your Sims' chemistry levels with each other, they can have the option to propose in the late 50's. Whether the Sim who is being proposed to accepts the offer, however, is another thing entirely. My advice: Make sure that both Sims have a high happiness scores. Sims1: For a Marriage/Joining, try ensuring that your Sims' lifetime score is above 70. My advice: Good moods equal good results.

You first have to make sure your two sims have a close enough bond with each other. Then if you're playing on sims 2 when you click on the sim who is being proposed to one of the choices you can do says "propose..." click on that and then you should have the choice to propose engagement. If you are on sims 3, it can be more complicated. Be sure that your sims are well in love. Then play on the sim that is the proposer. Click on the other sim and go to the bubble that says "romantic..." One of your choices should be "propose engagement". Also if the proposer is family oriented, you can click the bubble that reads "special" followed by the bubble "family oriented". Then one of your choices should be "propose engagement".

It depends. If the Sims are living together you can see their friendship levels. See if both Sims have the option Propose; Marriage. If they do they can get married. Or the friendship level isn't high enough. Or the other Sim is married or engaged to another Sim already

You can cheat for the relationship but if you dont want to cheat then you need to do romantic actions to get your relationship up.

Once you get your relationship up to atleast 90 (Bottom Bar not top) then if you click on a character it should say propose!

First you have to make the Sims become boyfriend and girlfriend by clicking the tab: go steady or something like that and if the mood is right you should have the option to propose marriage. :)

It helps to be wearing a marriage beanie and lei. My sims didn't accept the proposal until one of them was wearing both the beanie and the lei.

Hug a lot, cook for them, take them on dates and vacations, and make sure they are entertained in your house. Soon the option to propose will come up.
