Yes, many people have been scared by the politics of global warming. The planet has indeed warmed by 11 degrees over the past 6000 years. Almost all of that has been over 150 years ago. Since man has started burning fossil fuels, there has been less then a 0.7 degree of warmth. Most of the warmth we have seen occurred before 1938. No warming has been reported by any climate group since 1998.

The warming we have seen is mostly been located in the Northern Hemisphere. Ice has even been growing for the past several decades in the Southern Hemisphere. A large portion of the Tropical Rain forests are in the Southern Hemisphere.

Rain Forests have a great many things to fear. Climate change is not one of them in real terms. That is the main issue with the politics of climate change. It tends to defocus the world from real problems and has many chasing windmills.. literally.

There is unreasonable fear of this natural event everywhere. This is due to the incredible misinformation that has been sent out by politically motivated people.
