There is a map where you can see the effect of sea level rise at the link below. At the top left you can set the sea level rise to 0 meters to see the present coastline. Changing the sea level rise to 5 meters or 50 meters will make changes on the map.
The earth has a long history of warming and cooling. Ever heard of the Ice Ages? Other planets are currently showing evidence of warming.
Up to the end of the twentieth cenury was the most of Siberia covered by permafrost. Chukotka was frozen even on the coastline. This situation partially changed due to global warming.
global warming will melt the ice caps, therefore creating more water. and the water has to go somewhere so it goes to the oceans. this will cause sea levels to rise and flood coastline communities
The tolerance of human swine influenza is higher and less serious in terms of danger to health than global warming. Global warming is the increase in the avergae temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation. Swine influenza affects a vast population of the humans and clearly does not have any relation to global warming as yet.
1) if the ice melts in the northern/ southern region of the world, the water level wont rise. BECAUSE that water is froze, it is expanded.

The North Pole, the Arctic, is showing more signs of global warming than anywhere else.

The ice sheet is not so much a threat to coastlines as are the ice shelves, the Weddell in particular is showing excessive signs of warming and deterioration from exposure to warmer ocean water below the shelf. However, the West Antarctic Ice Sheet may also be in similar peril.

A warming of the Eastern Pacific Ocean near the equator denotes an El Niño Southern Oscillation, or ENSO.

Stop Global Warming
The current projected rate of global warming will be 4 to 7 degrees Celsius by the end of this century. "Reducing" global warming would be to aim at the lower end of this value. So our goal isn't really to reduce global warming--it is too late for that, barring some entirely new technology. Instead, we only hope to mitigate the environmental impact of human activity through reducing consumption of the fossil fuels which release greenhouse CO2 into the atmosphere.
