The "missing" zodiac sign is Ophiuchus . It dates back to Ptolemy, who listed it. The roots of the zodiac predate the Christian era. Nostradamus didn't wander in until the 1500's. A link is provided to the article on Ophiuchus posted by our friends at Wikipedia, where knowledge is free. There you can see a star map that will help you locate this sign, which is between Scorpius in the west and Sagittarius in the east.

The story goes that the animals were being gathered for a banquet. However, the rat tricked the cat into thinking it was the day after. Thus, the cat did not show up and didn't become part of the Zodiac. The cat hated the rat from that day onwards.

In other words, you could say yes.
