There likely is a saliva test for Xanax. I know this because I am a patient of a methadone clinic for heroin use and the clinic tests monthly for all illegal drugs as well as "bezos"(xanax). The reason for this is because methadone and xanax combined have side effects that doctors look down on(overdosing being one effect). This is not a definate "yes" to the question but considering how much the methadone clinic staff does not want it's patients using "Xanax" then I am certain that the mouth swab given to me tests for it.

Xanax will show up as a benzodiazepine in a drug test. The standard 5-panel test does not test for benzodiazepines. So it will depend on if the particular saliva test you are taking tests for benzos and if it does then you would have had to have to have enough in your system to have it above the cutoff level for benzos in order for it to report as positive. Same is true for THC (marijuana) except it is almost always tested for in any type of drug test.
