One has to consider the state of mind of the person who takes his own life. If the individual is unbalanced then there may be some reason to suppose that there is forgiveness.
However if one is of sound mind, knowing full well what they are doing then this in the eyes of the law is called "Self Murder". In the eyes of God no person of sound mind has the right to take their own life, a penalty must therefore be given. Only God has the right to take life. There is no forgiveness for the killing of a human being by a human being, except in war or in the defence of ones own life. The perpetrators of such a crimes are still answerable to God.
The Bible says that the only unforgivable sin is to blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. Suicide is still nonetheless a sin. It is considered to be an act of murder. To willfully and deliberately take the life of another person, even if its your own. So no, it is not unforgivable. The act of committing the unforgivable sin only applies to God's Elect. If you are not one of the Elect you have nothing to worry about. The act of murder IS forgivable but only by God, we as humans (although we try) cannot forgive a murderer because God will not acknowledge such a request. As humans, it is not our decision to make, whether or not someone is forgiven for committing such a heinous act, that decision solely lies in God's hands.
Additionally:
THE BIBLE SAY'S THAT
Blasphemy is an unforgiveable sin only against the Holy Spirit, not against Christ. Most people who blaspheme later repent and are forgiven. GOD FOR FORGIVENESS BECAUSE HE SAID ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN.
Additional Comment:
Blaspheme is a forgivable sin because God said so.
Suicide is a mortal sin, meaning that it cannot be taken back. In the Bible it is not stated what happens to people who commit suicide and therefore we will never know. It is between that person and God, the only two who know the intensity off the situation under which the act was committed. In Christianity it is seen as murder to oneself, blasphemy to the holy spirit, and the person has no way to ask for forgiveness, so technically it is unforgiven. Some branches of Christianity understand suicide to be forgiven if it was out of the deceased control, such as a person with extreme depression or mental disorders would be.
The gospels say that only blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is unforgiveable. Why this should be so is not stated, since blasphemy even against Jesus is said to be forgiveable. Nor does it say what constitutes blasphemy against the Holy Spirit or how it is possible to blaspheme against him.
It is a very bad sin, yes. But, Christians say that since Jesus died on the cross God will forgive us for anything.
However, it is the worst sin of all time and should NEVER be committed.
Nothing is unforgivable however in the case of the victim who doesn't know he.she has been murdered it is not easy to forgive.
It is a sin in practically every religion and moral belief.
No sin is unforgivable.
The only unforgivable sin is a sin for which you are unrepentant.
The thing that you can do is a unforgivable sin is cursing the Holy Spirit.
The one unforgivable sin is suicide. Suicide is murder, and there is no time to repent for it before you die. God is a righteous judge with power much greater than man and I'm sure he will let you atone for the sin once you reach the tunnel leading to the gates of heaven, but supposedly, suicide is the one unforgivable sin.
No
self murder? suicide? Depends on who you ask. Many people, including myself, believe that this is the one sin that is UNforgivable. The reasons are... 1. In order to be forgiven a sin, you must be truly sorry and remorseful. Meaning that if you had it to do over, you would not. 2. You must ask for the forgiveness. How can you do that if your soul is already burning. It's too late then. 3. Some will argue that you could ask prior to the deed, but that negates back to #1.
no the only unpardonable sin is blasphemy against the holy spirit
that sin and blasphemy are bad and and blasphemy is the only unforgivable sin
According to the Bible the only sin that God finds unforgivable is the sin of blasphemy made against the Holy Spirit. Matthew 12:31-32, Mark 3:29, and Luke 12:10 all confirm that this is the only sin that he will not forgive.. This sin that is called the "unforgivable sin" and is that of permanently rejecting Christ (John 3:18; 3:36) with such finality that no future repentance is possible.
the unforgivable sin
You can commit an unforgivable sin and then turn your life around. See what led you to this sin, and try not to go down that path again. Just try to do good, and be good, and you can turn your life around.
To deny Christ or God out of your life.
