The V prefix may indicate a "Victory" model, made during WW II. If it has a lanyard loop on the butt (or a hole where one used to be attached), that is probably it. There is some minor collector's interest in those. Depending on condition, value may be from $150-350.
With my experience as a collector, your looking at probably $325 brand new in the box 100%, $225-$275 in good condition, and about $100 in poor condition. Hope this helps!
