I think only a few NFL players have ever openly stated that they were gay, and all of them after they'd retired from the game. It is unknown how many players in the NFL are gay, since male-dominated team sports tend be very homophobic, which forces players to stay in the closet.
I have spoken with a number of retired NFL players, recently retired. They tell me its well known who is gay and who is not and for the most part no one cares on the team if the dude is gay, he is only expected to do his job without
compromise. gay or str8.
There are gays in all aspects of society. It may be difficult to openly declare oneself a gay footballer due to stereotyped images but with more tolerant social attitudes, perhaps this will gradually change.
Yes, in fact, a bunch are.
More than likely. as for how many are not closeted gays probably a lot less than there really is. how many men would stop watching football if they found out their masculinity hero is gay?
A few probably and it would be some big story in the us because that's just what the media does. so the gays in the nfl probably keep to themselves.
As of 2017, there have been 11 openly gay NFL Football players:
Played in a regular season game
Attended training camp
There are currently no openly gay NFL players.
There are no openly gay NFL players.

YES!
No active NFL player has come out publically as gay. There have been 6 NFL payers that have come out as gay after they retired, and 3 Division I and II college players have come out s gay after their playing days. There is a 7th NFL player who was outed after he passed away. The players are:Wade Davis NFL DBEd Gallagher NCAA Division I OTAlan Gendreau NCAA Division I KKwame Harris NFL OTDavid Kopay NFL RBRay McDonald NFL RBRoy Simmons NFL GBrian Sims NCAA Division II DTJerry Smith NFL TEEsera Tuaolo NFL DR
Yes they are. Why should they not be allowed to? Still, to the best of my knowledge, there are no openly gay players currently on any team's roster. Only three former players came out after the end of their career. Those are David Kopay, Roy Simmons and Esera Tuaolo.
University of Alabama. There are no other NFL players from any other college! They are all from UA. Next question?

You can. NFL players can wear any glove they want but they have to have an NfL shield on it.
