not to sure but i think many of the schools in France allow they students to wear what they want, in reason that is :)

but i think there are some, maybe 15 -20, that make students wear a uniform

no they do not because when i visited France they did not wear a school uniform.They are different.

In state-run schools, they do not. Many private schools have a uniform, but this is pretty rare in France.
