my take is that yes, there is going to be more matrix movies, and there is strong evidence to suggest this to be the case.
this is because it has been held up due to court cases, now that the court cases have been solved, and the ownership of the matrix franchise decided, the next of the movie can be made.
this is why it has been so many years now and the matrix franchise was on hold, it was all down to legal reasons about who owned the matrix film ideas, and the court case was won by sophia stewart who now claims to own the rights to make the next matrix film.

∙ 14y agoyes, its going to be the most awesome one yet neo comes back and fight against the good guys he fights every one except his girl friend because she died but you wont believe who wins or will every body and thing dies and the matrix becomes their reality world not a game the real world and they will found out what is really beyond the robots city, they will find a whole new world.

Yes, it is looking a very real possibility, before it was a no, but this was because there was a dispute on who held the copyrights for the matrix franchise.
a women in america called sophia stewart had claimed she had wrote the book, that the terminator and matrix films had been based on.
she now holds the copyrights for the matrix films, and she plans to make the matrix 4 movie.
