No- the movie has never officially gone into production. The entire original cast (except for Sigourney Weaver) has reunited for the production of a Ghostbusters video game written by Dan Ackroyd. This game came out May 19, 2008 and is probably the closest anyone will ever get to see "Ghostbusters 3".

∙ 11y agoAccording to Media, "Ghostbusters III" was due to come out in 2012. It was bringing back the original cast. However, it still has not been filmed and Bill Murray has now declined to reprise his role a third time.
