They had poor sales for no1 but the Capcom team pushed it on the Ghosts n Goblin heritage and took learnigns from other more successful games to make Army of Zin that was slated by hardcore gamers and critics causign it also to stall. It missed its own "ghost" audience and went for robots. No. 3 was canned in making for not be commerciallby viable with the current formula. Had they doens some market research I am sure it could have been a big hit with older wealthy gamers if it was premium priced and got back to the Maximo 1 basic ghosts and medieval formula we all loved.
