There aren't any plans as of yet, but I'm almost certain that properly made films based on the Inheritance Cycle will one day be made; possibly more than 4 films. The Eragon movie was screwed up so badly, the time it'll take to make it again has probably been delayed by several years. It'll take a long time to recover from the damage, but I don't see why such a great book won't ever get a proper film based on it; it's just a matter of time.
