It is impossible to make long term predictions of whether or when a specific location will have a tornado. When we do determine that a town or city is going to be hit, the time to the tornado's impact is measured in minutes.
Worldwide records are unavailable, but the first tornado to touch down in the U.S. in the years 2000-2012 was an F1 that touched down at 6:22 AM on January 3, 2000 in Baxter County in northern Arkansas.
Whether a tornado will hit a given location on a given day is impossible to predict. On average the lead warning time before a tornado hits is about 15 minutes. That said, there is virtually no risk of severe weather in Boston for June 23, 2012 so the chances of Boston being hit are negligible. Since detailed record keeping began in 1950 there have been 156 recorded tornadoes in Massachusetts of which only 2 or 3 have hit the outskirts of Boston. None have hit the inner part of the city.
Chicago is a relatively small target for a tornado to strike and so unlikely to be hit. So it really is only by chance that tornadoes have missed Chicago. However, tornadoes have occurred in the Chicago area, so it is entirely possible for one to hit the city itself.
Truly doubt it. (This applies to almost all days.)
You can get a general idea of a tornado's direction by watching it move. Note that if a tornado does not appear to be moving to either side but instead looks to be getting bigger, there's a good chance its coming straight at you. Outside of visual observations, the movement of a tornado can be tracked by Doppler radar.

Yes, It will be Allstate Arena, Chicago, Illinois on April 29, 2012
No. Tornadoes do not get names. However, currently, as of October 28, 2012 there is a Hurricane Sandy.
It is impossible to make such a prediction. Where a specific tornado may hit cannot be predicted more than a few minutes ahead of time. However, for today, April 7, 2012 the chances of a tornado forming anywhere in the U.S. are minimal.
No. First of all, there seems to be a some confusion here. The Oak lawn tornado outbreak was not a tornado, it was an outbreak of at least 45 tornadoes across the Midwest and Great Lakes regions. Second, the F4 tornado that struck Oak Lawn was not the only tornado in the area of Chicago. Among other events, an F3 tornado struck downtown Chicago in 1871, an F4 tornado hit Bolingbrook in 1976, and an F5 tornado hit Plainfield in 1990.
Gradually Going Tornado was created in 1980-02.
Chicago has been hit by a number of tornadoes. Official records go back as far as 1950. Since then, Chicago itself has been hit by an F2 tornado in March 4, 1961, an F1 tornado on May 29, 1983, and an F0 tornado on September 22, 2006. Even more tornadoes have hit the greater Chicago area. The worst of these was the F4 that hit Oak Lawn on April 21, 1967. Before official records, in 1871 an F3 tornado tore through downtown Chicago.
As of December 24, 2012 the most recent tornado of 2012 was an EF1 on December 20 near Mobile, Alabama.
