chev or gmc uually have inline filter on the inside of the chassis rail about level with the front of the front door.this is usually on the passenger side but just check what side the fuel line runs

on my saab i use a ph8a ford filter which is longer letting me use 1 liter more oil. tg8a is the new filter that does the same. same as napa1515 which also is a longer filter that fits my saab and replaces the tiny one
