You would need different shoes for some of the sports. For an example, soccer shoes have cleats so it would be near impossible to play basketball in them and would be very uncomfortable to go hiking or exercising in them. Basketball courts have slightly slick floors so she would need something that worked well for her. Hiking boots are most recommended for hiking as they have different bottoms on them that allow for easy moving but also are really comfortable.
While mountain biking is a good avocation, translating it into a paid job may be a stretch. That said, there are companies that need people to lead biking tours as well as bike shops that have technicians to fix and optimize bikes.
