Tobacco is the pure form of what is found in cigarettes but in cigarettes they add chemicals like nicotine which is an addictive chemical that was used as an insecticide in the past. acetone- nail polish, hydrogen cyanide- used during the holocaust in gas chambers, arsenic- rat poison, formaldehyde- preserving bodies, ammonia-a cleaning solution and carcinogenic or cancer causing chemicals are all found in cigarettes .So,the answer is no.

Tobacco and cigarettes are not the same. There is tobacco in cigarettes, which is not as harmful as some may believe. The other chemicals in cigarettes is where the under lining health issues begin. Traces of poisons, fuel and ammonia can be found in cigarettes. Lighting a cigarette releases these chemicals along with the nicotine which can be inhaled. Inhaling the toxins and the nicotine together creates a high while slowly damages your lungs and nervous system.

Side effects will include: high blood pressure, being light headed, shortness of breath, Headaches, loss of appetite and dehydration.

Tobacco in other forms of use such as chewing tobacco, dip and snus are found to be less harmful to the body.

*please remember that nicotine is simply a stimulant such as caffeine. In moderate to low use, it's effects are generally harmless. In heavy use, it can cause serious medical issues.*

No they are not the same. Chewing tobacco is usually either cut pieces or ropes made of tobacco that one chews on. smokeless tobacco more commonly known as snuff, dip, or chew, is a tobacco that is put in your mouth and left there to get the nicotine.
