Yep. Tungsten has the highest tensile strength of all metals. It is very hard, but brittle, and will fracture instead of giving in. Gold, particularly 24k, is very soft and might even be accidentally bent by hand in thin parts of the piece. On the other hand, gold is the most ductile and malleable metal; it will bend and stretch instead of breaking.
