Video Games were invented to entertain people occasionally when there is nothing other to do such as on rainy days or snowy blizzard like days. To bad in today's society children AND adults are OBSESSED with video games. Outdoor activity is better for your body, please, only use video games occasionally. They AREbad for you when you play them every day or to much. When you use them wisely, they are a fun, entertaining way to lay. But trust me, people have gone centuries without them so children of today can sure as heck can. If you read this and anyone improves it and says videos games are GOOD for you, play them every day.....don't listen, those are the nerd whom are obsessed.

Like anything else there are good and bad points, but there is also too much of a good thing. So if all a kid does is play video games then yes they are bad but if video games are a part of a well rounded entertainment environment then no there not bad and can have some good results. It's a matter of moderation.

If the child wants a future in gaming then its not really a big deal. children without video games do excell better but kids with video games can also do that too. they just need to put their mind to it

If not overly played they are not just not bad but are acually sort of good for you. If over played though they are not good!

It is a proven fact that playing video games for more than 30 minutes a day destroys cells in your hands. Although you can't see anything, radation is in the device and by you using it, you're also getting radation. Later on in life, you may have difficulty making your hands stay still and not shake. This is because of the damage using video games for more that 30 minutes has done. It is better that you don't play it.
