Southern Europe has a Mediterranean Climate. This means there are warm, wet, and windy winters and calm (non-windy), hot/warm summers.
To make it short: warm at summer, cold at winter, crisp/windy at autumn, nice and warm at spring (but not as warm as summer). The climate is very similar to the climate in nothern America/sourthern Canada.
