Shamgar. Shamgar was the judge that killed 600 philistines.
samson :) lol your welcome
Shamgar was a judge in Israel between Ehud and Barak. He is credited with 'saving Israel'(Judges 3:31) by killing 600 Philistines with a cattle goad. The fact that he was called a 'son of Anath' may indicate that he was from the city of Beth-Anath (Judges 1:33)(Judges 5:6)
Judges 15:16 This does not answer my question! Samson slew 1000 Philistines with the jawbone of an ass. When did this happen? Last week? 2500 years ago? 600 BC? When?
600 x 600 is 360,000.
600 because if it is over 550 it should round up
Shamgar, an ancient judge of Israel, killed 600 Philistines with an ox goad as mentioned in the Book of Judges in the Bible. He is known for his bravery and unconventional weapon choice in defeating the enemy.
The Judge betrayed to the Philistines by a woman was Samson. His downfall can be found in the Old Testament book of Judges, chapter 16.

Samson was betrayed to the Philistines by Delilah, a woman who had been bribed by them to discover the secret of his strength. She cut his hair, the source of his power, leading to his capture and eventual death.
Samson lived in the latter part of the time of the judges. Samson was a judge. (not a judge like we have today, but a judge in that time period delivered Israel out of the hand of their enemies and brought them closer to God.) We are told in Judges 16:4b "....... that He (God) was seeking an occasion to move against the Philistines. For at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel". God raised up Samson to incite war against the Philistines. The Philistines had taken over parts of Israel and were treating the people very badly. God wanted this to stop. Samson was the first Judge to encounter the Philistines. It was not until the time of David that the Philistines were defeated badly enough to stop being a power against Israel. Samson's basic area of war against the Philistines was Zorah, which was in the territory of the Tribe of Dan. If you will recall it was David as a lad before he became King who took his sling and 5 smooth pebbles (Rocks) and put one between the eyes of Goliath who was a mercenary of the Philistines.
1) His two sons were not as righteous as he. 2) The Tabernacle was overrun by the Philistines.
God raised up Samson from the womb as a Nazirite to begin the deliverance of Israel from the Philistines. It was only a beginning as the Israelites and the Philistines fought for many years. God gave Samson great physical strength to fight against the Philistines and he alone killed thousands.
According to tradition, it was in 876 BCE.
