Rula Lenska is an actress, formerly married to an actor named Dennis Waterman. She became famous in the US in the 70's doing Alberto VO5 commercials that began "Hello, I'm Rula Lenska..." as if she were a celebrity doing an endorsement for Alberto VO5. The fact that nobody in the US knew who she was made her an instant celebrity and everyone knew her name even if they didn't know what she did nor had ever seen whatever it was she did. Everyone kept saying "Who the heck is Rula Lenska?" to the point that it made her famous, for a few minutes, anyway. In a way, she was the Paris Hilton of the era, though with a great deal more Continental class.
