I did this last night and spent 96 dollars for Mercedes Benz tech to open it. all he did was detached neutral battery and have someone hold down the unlock button then reattach while the unlock button is being pressed. then let go when battery is back together. trunk should open
Tried the above and it didnt work. To open, you'll need a couple of tools:
- a small bright flashlight
- a long 1/4in diameter steel rod or wooden dowel
Open the first aid kit compartment (should be located under the rear passenger speaker, below the rear windshield). Take out the first aid kit. The compartment should have a soft foam liner on the bottom. In the far right corner, pull back the liner and you'll find a small opening to the trunk. The opening is only about 2.5inches wide. Shine the flashlight through the opening and you should see a bright green button that opens the trunk. Fish the rod through the opening and press the green button. The trunk should open.
