Yeah, look at the AV cables (Yellow, White, Red) that are coming from the PS3. Unplug the White and Red cables (Both audio) and plug in a set of Audio cables coming from a different device playing music.
So really you just unplug the PS3's audio and plug in audio coming from a different device.
Do not touch the yellow cable, it is Video.
