There a many reasons why antibacterial drugs are far more abundant than anti fungal drugs. I will summarized them into four 1. The species of bacterial worldwide is numerically higher than the species of fungal. 2. majority of human infections are caused by bacteria, thus little caused by fungi 3. most anti fungal drugs are effective for the treatment of all fungi infections (in humans), on the other hand it is not so with bacteria 4. Bacteria resistance to antibacterial drugs are more rampant than fungi resistance to anti fungal drugs, thus making antibacterial drugs more in existence. From this few four points u will be able to know why there are more antibacterial agents than anti fungal agent By obiogwu andrew marcus in ambrose alli university, ekpoma in edo state, Nigeria
