there is very little math as an EMT. Basic adding and subtracting until you get into medicine doses or counting bodies. I have never needed a calculator in 4 years.
Pretty much non-existent. In most areas your basic EMT cannot administer drugs, therefore no math is taught. You will only use basic addition/multiplication when figuring out vitals

EMT Training is used to help you become a certified EMT. Where you can care for the injured on their way to the hospital. It is just as important as being a doctor as it is your job to keep those injured alive until they can get medical attention.
