This looks like a pretty basic question, although asked out of context, it is tricky. The same composition is called "definite" composition. The more technical term should make us think of the classification of matter. Pure substances have definite composions as opposed to mixtures that have variable composition.
Your answer is pure substances. Pure substances can be either compounds, made of 2 or more kinds of atoms or elements make of 1 kind of atom.
Matter that has a fixed composition is a pure substance, such as an element or compound.
a pure substance :).... and I'm only in 8th grade :D
You think probable to a chemical compound.
A chemical compound may be a gas (CH4), a liquid H2O) or a solid (U3O8).
a pure substance :).... and I'm only in 6th grade :)
pure substance.
It is known as a substance.
a substance
mixture?
A pure substance is any substance with a fixed chemical composition, meaning either a single element or a compound (chemically-bound elements in a fixed ratio).
Matter can be classified according to its composition Solid: has a definite shape, mass & volume & are highly rigid. They cannot flow, have high density, are almost incompressible & have any no. of free surfaces. Liquid: has a definite mass & volume but no fixed shape & are less rigid. They can flow & take up the shape of the container in which it is stored. Gas: have a definite mass but have no fixed volume or shape & is not at all rigid. They can flow & take up the shape & volume of the container in which it is stored.
Liquids have no definite shape; they take the shapes of their containers.Gases also have no definite shape, they take up any available space.
Temperature change is not a chemical change.
Pressure and temperature are two factors that both affect the state of any type of matter.
You think probable to a chemical compound. But today the theory of the fixed composition is not generally valid.
Wood is not a compound of fixed composition and therefore does not have any single chemical formula.
A pure substance is any substance with a fixed chemical composition, meaning either a single element or a compound (chemically-bound elements in a fixed ratio).
Physical change, as change in state.
Substance is a word that can be used for any type of matter. The substance in the jar was neither liquid or solid.
A fluid is any matter that has no fixed shape, can flow and takes the shape of its container.
any type no matter what:)
Matter ( in any form) with a definite chemical composition . Also a umbrella term for drugs( substance abuse)

Homogeneous matter has a definite composition. This means it has a uniform, smooth composition and the parts of a homogeneous mixture/compound have similar properties. In other words, you can see no flaws or variations in it. There are two types of homogeneous matter: compounds and elements. Any element is the same throughout, because it only consists of one type of atom. But matter made up of more than one element can also be homogeneous matter. Water (a compound) is an example of homogeneous matter, any pure element is a homogeneous (hydrogen, iron, lawrencium, gold) and so are many mixtures, such as brass.Read more: Difference_between_heterogeneous_matter_and_homogeneous_matter

Chemical formulae exist to describe the composition of real things. Christians and most other religions describe their various gods as being supernatural and not made of matter. Atheists deny the existence of any god(s). In either case a chemical composition cannot be described for anything not made of real matter or which does not exist. Accordingly, there is no chemical composition for "God" or any other supernatural being.
