Answer #1. for every man is 4 women.A lot of men died from violence, diseases.Thats why in most cultures men are polygamous.Like for examples:Mormons,Muslims,Africans,Hindus e.t.c.

Yes, there are more adult women than adult men, but the difference is not very large at all. True, more men die from violence than women, and there are likely more genetic diseases for men because of their XY chromosome, but these do not kill enough to fit the original answerer's claims.

Certainly some cultures have polygamy, but "most"? I'd need to see real numbers to believe that. The biggest culture is that in China, and I am not aware of polygamy there (though there may been in the past for men of very high status). In North America, there is a new movement toward polyamorous families, in which there could be 3 women and a man, or 2 men and a woman, or 2 of each... any combination of loving adults that is not restricted to one partner of each sex.
