If you are talking about the station model found on Surface Analysis charts, the cloud symbol would be an open circle (cloud coverage less than 1/10 coverage). The fog symbol would be 3 equal length horizontal lines stacked vertically separating the station temperature (on top) and the station dewpoint (beneath) to the left of the open circle.
The symbol for fog depends on how much fog is present and the depth of the fog. There are at least 12 different symbols used. The symbols are a series of horizontal lines such as

If the symbol has broken lines, it indicates a patchy or semi-obscured sky such as
