A community and all of the nonliving things that affect it?

An ecosystem is a community of living organisms in conjunction with the nonliving components of their environment. Energy, water, nitrogen and soil minerals are other essential abiotic components of an ecosystem.

What is an environment that can support only as many organisms as the available energy minerals and oxygen will allow?

Carrying Capacity !

Are Minerals not living organisms yes or no?

Yes they aren't.

In the zone there are not enough minerals in the water to support organisms?

abyssal

What is an biotic?

Biotic is when something is alive or has been alive in some point of time (ex. tree, human, animal) abiotic is a non living component (ex. rock, water, dirt)living and non-livingAbiotic factors are non living controls that can effect ecosystems and living organisms. They are physical and chemical factors that are a part of a living organism's environment, such as temperature, moisture and light.Biotic is when something is alive or has been alive (ex. tree, animal, parasite) Abiotic is a non living component (ex. rock, water, dirt)Aboitic factors are not living things. Biotic factors are living things.Abiotic factors are nonliving factors in an ecosystem such as soil while biotic factors are living things in an ecosystem such as animals.Biotic is living things. Just like animals and humans. Then Abiotic is non-living things like the sun, the air, etc.Abiotic components are nonliving and consist of soil, minerals, air, water, and sunlight.""Biotic components are living organisms of the ecosystem. Ecosystem is a community of organisms interacting with one another and within their environment. There are a vast number of species living in any ecosystem and these organisms depend on one another and their environment for sources of food and energy. Matter is recycled through ecosystems, and the amount of life any environment can support is limited by the available energy, oxygen, water, and minerals. Interactions with biotic and abiotic factors cause the ecosystem to constantly shift and adjust to maintain balance in the system. An example would be Pine Trees. A shortleaf pine grows in drier soils and the loblolly pine needs a moister site. Pines also needs sunlight to thrive and may not thrive from shadying of their own trees, thus making room for Oak trees to grow."

What nutrient do organisms tend get from their local ecosystem?

minerals

How do the biotic and abiotic components change the equilibrium of the ecosystems?

Biotic components, such as plants and animals, directly affect the equilibrium of ecosystems through their interactions, such as competition for resources or predation. Abiotic components, like temperature and water availability, also play a critical role in shaping ecosystems by influencing the distribution and abundance of species. Changes in either biotic or abiotic components can disrupt the equilibrium of an ecosystem, leading to shifts in population dynamics and ecosystem structure.

Do detritivores return energy to an ecosystem?

They only return the minerals to the ecosystem.

Minerals seeping into an organisms remains form what?

Minerals seeping into an organisms remains form fossils. sediment

How do lichens change their environment so other organisms can live there?

Lichens absorb water and minerals from the air. As a result, they are easily affected by pollution. Thus the presence of lichens are a good source of air quality for other organisms

What nutrients do organism tend to get from their local ecosystem?

phosphorous

What are the different parts of an ecosystem?

water, food, energy, oxygen and needs to be a suitable living condition. these are the 6 parts that make up an ecosystem. the different parts of an ecosystem are;primary producers, primary consumers, secondary consumers, tertary consumers and the decomposers help to make an ecosystem.........ecosystems contain biotic components-living organisms that inhabit the ecosystem as well as abiotic components of an ecosystem include water, soil, sunlight, minerals and other non-living things.

What kind of scientists are needed to process gold?

Geologists are the scientists that process gold and search for fuels and minerals. Geologists focus on the organisms of the planet and protecting the Earth's environment.
