In a 4 cycle engine, top dead center of number one cylinder come up twice in the firing cycle, putting the distributor in with the piston at "TDC" may be 180 degrees out.
Note the position of both the distributor and the distributor rotor button.
Pull the distributor.
Rotate the rotor button 180 degrees.
Reinstall the distributor.
