Why would someone throw away a pair of pants?

There are many reasons as to why someone would want to throw away a pair of pants.

For example, they may have soiled them and are too embarrassed to simply wash them and re-use. This may be because they have low self esteem or the thought of what happened last time they wore the pants. The low self esteem may then link into their earlier childhood and possibly they were teased for such issues at school, or even at home.

Another reason might be that they have ripped the pants and do not have the ability to sew them back together again. It could possibly suggest that they have an O.C.D (Over Compulsive Disorder), and they can not warrant themselves to wear the pants which have been previously degraded.

Also, the person throwing them away may have just recently bought some new pants to wear. If this is this is the case then it may hint that they also have an O.C.D, and can't bring themselves to wearing old underwear, or underwear that they feel is no longer good enough for them. This further suggests then that they may have a self esteem issue and that they want to be in nicer clothes than what they already have, and are even trying to get rid of bad issues that may have occurred whilst wearing them pants. This brings me onto my next point.

Sometimes people will throw out pants because they have had a bad experience in them pants. They may then associate these pants with being unlucky. This may give the suggestion that they feel very strongly about bad omens.
