Mauritius is home to several dormant volcanoes, with the most notable being the Trou aux Cerfs, located near Curepipe. Other significant volcanic formations include the Pieter Both Mountain and the Moka Mountain Range. These volcanoes were formed during the island's volcanic activity millions of years ago but are now inactive, contributing to Mauritius's unique landscape.
