That's basically outer space.
Its known as interstellar space, as in the space between stars.
Some of the things NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) has done is taught humans about things far beyond our planet earth and lead most trips to the moon.
there is no end to space. Space is nothingness with things in it. beyond nothing is nothing. there is no end to space. Space is nothingness with things in it. beyond nothing is nothing. well actually, i think you may get to the black hole at the end of space. and at the end of the black hole is another universe.
Not quite; outer space means space beyond the Earth's atmosphere. The universe includes everything (including the Earth) - so you and I live in the universe, but not in outer space.
The Earth's atmosphere gets thinner and thinner as we go away from the earth. It becomes negligible at a point in space. Beyond that, there is no atmosphere, only vaccum.
So we can learn about planets and stuff beyond earth
The Earth has not been invaded. Any invasion of Earth would have to be from beyond Earth, and would therefore be from space.

Trillions of them, at least. Luckily for us, distances in space are huge, and the things that can destroy Earth are far away.
