Need of input device in computer graphics?
The need of output and imput devices are very important as the computer does not run without it. without it its like a human body without the bones. they are the main devices that run the computer.

Is a joystick an input or device?
A joystick is an input device. The movement of the stick is translated into signals that are sent to the receiving computer. To identify if the device is input or output, simply think of this: Do you need to send a command to the computer (inputting), or is the computer displaying (outputting) information to you?
Is a copier an input or output peripheral device?
A copier is neither an input device nor an output device because it need not be connected to a computer and usually is not. A Printer, which may also be used as a copier, is an output peripheral device. A Scanner, which feeds data to a computer, is an input peripheral device. Modern digital copiers use scanners as their "front ends". The scanner is then an input device to a copier.

Another name of an input?
"Data" could be another term for input depends on the context. "data input device", "input device" - a device that can be used to insert data into a computer or other computational device Im not sure exactly what input refers too in your question are you refering to any type of input? or a specific input? The input jack or the device? There are many "computer paripherals" (basically anything that is pluged into your cpu) from hard drives to printers. Input could be used to refer to the actual data being inserted or the device your using to insert it . You will need to be more specific if i havent answered your question.

What are any three characteristics of a computer?
There is only one characteristic of a computer: the ability to compute; to perform computations. That is why we call them computers. The three major components of a computer are an input device, a processing device and an output device. Regardless of whether it is a biological, analogue or digital computer, it must have all three to be regarded a computer. However, they are not characteristic of a computer. For instance, a keyboard is specifically an input device but if it has an LED display then it is also an output device that responds to an input (such as toggling CAPS LOCK on and off). But it has no processor, so it is not a computer. If we regarded a keyboard as a computer simply because it has input and output devices, then we'd also have to regard the common light switch as a computer. Of the three, the processor could be regarded as the primary characteristic, but without an input device a processor has nothing to process and therefore cannot compute. The output device may be the least important, but without an output, how do we know what has been computed? Thus we need all three to have the ability to compute, and that is the one and only characteristic of any computer.

Why are input and output necessary for computers?
Input unit of CPU needs instructions to carry out operations.Users must give the input.Hence we need input device. Output unit gives us the desired result.Hence we need the output device. It is the communication medium between user and the computer. Without input nd output units, there will not b a computer.

Which device works at both input or output device?
How do you explain input and output device?
Before a computer can process your data, you need some method to input the data into the machine. The device you use will depend on what form this data takes (be it text, sound, artwork, etc.). Similarly, after the computer has processed your data, you often need to produce output of the results. This output could be a display on the computer screen, hardcopy on printed pages, or even the audio playback of music you composed on the computer.

What do I need a graphics card for?
What is the requirement of input output interface?
For it to be an input device, the requirements are for the user to be able to input information into a device or computer system. (keyboard, mouse) Output devices need to show and display information aswell as produce information. (monitor, printer) A touch-screen mobile phone would be a good example for an input/output device, you touch the screen to get it to do something, at the same time you gather the information from the screen.

What is the processing device on computer?
What most people think about would be the CPU, or the Central Processing Unit. Todays modern computers actually have many processing devices. There are processing devices dealing with Input/Output/Graphics/Memory... all of which in the end need the CPU or main processor on the computer in order to centralize and utilize information for further processing.

Why interrupt is needed in the computer system?
An interrupt is a signal from a device attached to a computer or from a program within the computer that causes the CPU to stop executing the current program and figure out what to do next. It enable input/output device communicate or get the attention of the processor, and execute a program that need more attention.

Why do you need a computer keyboard?
Well, the short answer is you don't. It is only there as an input device, and if you don't intend to input data, then you don't need it. Similarly with the display, the output device - if you don't need it - don't have one. Your watch likely contains a computer, but it is possible that you have no way of inputting data to it. And that is not its function anyway. Many automated (computer controlled systems) do not use these devices, for they are not integral to the purpose of the system. On the shop floor of the steel mill, or of the machine making ice cream, there will be a computer controlling the process, but there is no need for the controls of the computation system to be on the shop floor.
