Look in the yellow pages for Gunsmiths.

There is no need to start a double barrel. A double barrel shotgun needs to be loaded like you would a single barrel shotgun only using two bullets. You then cock the gun, aim, and fire.
If you are speaking of the single or double barrel guns, you can change barrels. However, you should have a gunsmith look at the other barrel to make sure it fits properly, most of them need a little hand fitting.

You will need a professional appraisal
some have larger blade screws( 6 inches long) inside the buttstock, remove the butt plate and it will be recessed inside, you need a long, large screwdriver.

This depends on you budget, quality of paint and what job you need done. If you are close range, the stock barrel is fine. if you need long range, get an apex or flatline barrel, if you want maximum accuracy, you need a two piece barrel and paint that fits the bore perfectly.

Need to know which maker & model #
I have a 20ga Ithaca double barrel hammerliss shotgun has dogs on the action, serial number 249015 is about 85% condition, what is the age and value?
Depends on the rifle. As long as the barrel is tight to the receiver, not a problem- it is the stock that is loose. Try tightening mounting screws with a GOOD screwdriver (to keep from bugering up the heads of the screws). You may have a stripped thread on a screw, or may need to add a shim between stock and barrel- try cutting strips out of a business card, and use them. If the gap is wider than that, you need to see a gunsmith.
