Knute Rockne was the football head coach from 1918-1930 and compiled a record of 105-12-5. He, tragically, lost his life in an airplane accident in March, 1931 and was replaced by Hunk Anderson who was head coach until 1933. Anderson's three year record was 16-9-2.
