Bhagat Namdev, Kabir Ji, Baba Farid... Guru Granth Sahib is considered embodiment of all Sikh Gurus and a living Guru, so no Sikh function of any importance is complete without Guru Granth Sahib ji's presence

∙ 12y agothe guru granth sahib is the reason why the gurdwara is there. it is the main point and the sikhs 11th and last teacher (guru). the guru granth sahib is read in the gurdwara and treated with respect almost like a human.
